Becky arrived at Hansen House Company in January 2005, joining her husband Greg in the family business to help with the heavy workload during tax season.
After graduating with Greg from Bemidji State University in 1990, Becky began her public accounting career in the tax department at Deloitte & Touche in Minneapolis. After moving to Duluth in 1996, Becky spent another 7 years with a local firm, developing her skills in individual, trust and estate taxation and planning.
Becky is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is a long-time board member of the Minnesota Walking Horse Association and enjoys being a part of the music team at her church. She also has served on the church council and Praising God leadership team.
Outside of tax season, Becky enjoys spending time showing and trail riding her Tennessee walking horses and spending time with her husband, Greg, and her family, including her granddaughter, who is a true bundle of joy.
Greg Hansen
Greg came to Hansen House Company in 1996 after spending six years in St. Paul at a regional accounting firm, gaining valuable experiences. Since joining the firm’s founder, Charles House, he has enjoyed assisting clients with their tax, accounting and consulting needs. He finds our hands-on approach to helping our small business and individual clients accomplish their goals most satisfying.
Greg’s goal with Hansen House Company is to provide an environment where our employees are valued and supported in their development. Without our people, we cannot consistently meet the needs of our clients. He is proud of and grateful for our group of employees.
Greg is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a member and former treasurer of the local Arrowhead Estate Planning Council. He is also involved with the Duluth Rotary Club, having served as treasurer and as a director.
He is also active in his church, serving multiple terms on council as treasurer, and currently is leading the effort to bring our services electronically to senior living communities. A little-known fact, Greg has led worship, including writing and presenting sermons, over ten times over the past seven years.
Outside of work and volunteering, Greg lives just north of Duluth on a small hobby farm with his wife, Becky, and multiple horses and cats. His daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter live in the area. Sunday evenings outside of tax season are often spent at home sharing dinner with family and friends.
Nicole Roy
Nicole began her first tax season with Hansen House as a junior at the University of Minnesota Duluth and instantly fell in love with the excitement of tax season, so much so that she returned for her senior year. During these internships, she became familiar with the tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, and S corporations. After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Accounting in May of 2023, she was thrilled to return full time while studying to take the CPA exam. When not in the office, she can be found enjoying time with her cat, cooking, and travelling across the states.
Heidi Rousseau
Heidi joined Hansen House Company in January 2014. She graduated from University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree in 1996 and earned her CPA license shortly thereafter while working in a regional accounting firm in Pueblo, CO. Her career in public accounting has spanned 25 years, 12 years with RSM McGladrey in the Small Business Group and now with Hansen House Company, focusing on small business accounting and taxation. Her expertise is in QuickBooks, payroll, compilations and reviews, as well as tax planning and preparation for businesses and individuals.
Heidi cares about her clients and values the relationships she builds with them. She works together with them to achieve the best tax advantages and their financial goals. During the 25 years of Heidi's career, she also raised her family with her husband, Chris. Her two boys grew up in the Carlton/Cloquet area and played sports year-round, mostly soccer and basketball, which kept almost every night and weekend busy. Family road trips started when the boys were young and eventually evolved to trying to get to all 50 states before they graduated. The goal was completed August 2019 with a trip to Alaska. She has a sign in her house that says, “My favorite thing to do is go where I've never been.” In this new empty nest phase of life, Heidi is spending more time outdoors with her mini Bernedoodle, Scout, spending as much time as possible on the water in MN, and hopefully exploring new places.

Mary McDonald
Mary joined Hansen House Company in December of 2021. She has degrees in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota, Morris and Accounting and Finance from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Never one to believe that life is set in stone, making the career change from teaching children to helping her clients understand their taxes was one of the smartest moves she has ever made.
Mary moved to Minneapolis at the end of 2008 and worked at PwC at the beginning of her accounting career in their Private Client Services as well as their State and Local Tax departments. From there she experienced sales tax at Target Corp where she gained a lot of knowledge to help her win obscure trivia games. She left Target to return to public accounting because she missed providing value to individual people. Mary and her husband moved back to Duluth in 2016 where she took a position with a local small firm in town. Focusing on tax for small businesses and their owners kept her plenty busy.
In her spare time, Mary enjoys reading, macrophotography and exploring the woods around her cabin WAY up north.
